This amendment updates the Alliant Techsystems Inc. Income Security Plan, effective March 19, 2002, by revising Exhibit A, which lists the plan participants. The new list includes all ATK elected officers as Tier One participants and all ATK appointed corporate Vice Presidents, subsidiary Presidents, and subsidiary Group Vice Presidents as Tier Two participants. All other terms of the plan remain unchanged.

ALLIANT TECHSYSTEMS INC.
INCOME SECURITY PLAN
The Amendment and Restatement of Alliant Techsystems Inc. Income Security Plan (the "Plan") is hereby amended as follows, effective as of March 19, 2002:
