Hutchinson Technology Incorporated BioMeasurement Division Fiscal Year 2005 Bonus Plan
Hutchinson Technology Incorporated has established a management bonus plan for an executive officer and select management employees in its BioMeasurement Division. The Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors decides annually whether to pay bonuses, based on the division's financial performance, achievement of strategic milestones, and other discretionary factors. Bonuses, if awarded, are paid in cash during the first quarter of the next fiscal year.

Hutchinson Technology Incorporated (HTI) has a management bonus plan that covers an executive officer and certain other management-level employees of its BioMeasurement Division. The decision to pay out bonuses is made annually by the Compensation Committee of HTIs Board of Directors. The Committees decision is based on the BioMeasurement Divisions attainment of a financial goal for the BioMeasurement Division for the fiscal year, certain milestones that represent achievement of strategic division initiatives as well as other factors that may be considered at the Committees discretion. Bonuses are paid in cash in the first quarter of the following fiscal year.
